Whistleblowing Policy
(as at May 29, 2024, v1.0)

BayaPay Sdn Bhd (herein referred to as "BayaPay") conducts its business based on the principles of fairness, honesty, openness, decency, integrity and respect. We aim to create and sustain an environment where whistleblowers, whether employees of BayaPay or members of the public, can act appropriately without fear of reprisal or retaliation.​

The following types of improper conduct includes, but the list is not exhaustive:

  • Fraud

  • Theft

  • Bribery or corrupt pratice

  • Violation of laws and regulations

  • Embezzlement

  • Misuse of power and position

  • Conflict of interest

  • Any intentional act deliberately designed to cuase loss to BayaPay

  • Any other similar or related abnormalities

Any individual who is aware of or has reasonable grounds to suspect that any improper conduct has been committed by an employee or representative of BayaPay can make a disclosure.

Whistleblowing Disclosure Form

Alternatively, whistleblowers can download our Whistleblowing Disclosure Form, print out to fill up and either email to BayaPay or send the form via mail to the letter and email channels stated above. You may download the Whistleblowing Disclosure here.

Whistleblowers are encouraged to include the following information in their disclosure to facilitate investigations:

  • Names of the individuals involved

  • Date and time of the event

  • Nature of the event

  • Witnesses, if any

  • Any evidence related to the event

The responsibilities of the whistleblower include:

  • Making the disclosure in good faith

  • Reasonably believing that the information and allegations are substantially true

  • Not acting for personal gain. If the case involves personal interest, disclosing this at the outset

Confidentiality and Protection of Whistleblower

The identity of a whistleblower who makes a disclosure in good faith will be kept confidential and disclosed only on a strictly need-to-know basis.

BayaPay commits to ensuring that all disclosed information, including the identity of the whistleblower, is treated with strict confidentiality. All personnel, directly or indirectly involved in a whistleblowing case, shall strictly protect the identity of the whistleblower and witnesses from unauthorised disclosure before, during, and after an investigation.

The protection will be revoked if it is determined that the whistleblower was also involved in the improper conduct, or if the disclosures were made in bad faith.
